Level 2 - technical support engineer

 

Victor works very hard at getting to the bottom of sw issues and only enlists L4 support when absolutely necessary. This is very much appreciated as we do often get cases that would seem to be solvable by lower levels of support. 
When asking for L4 assistance, Victor provides a lot of detailed information, and often sets up a system in which the problem is reproduced, which saves us a lot of time and allows issues to be resolved very efficiently. If only every L3 support engineer would work like this!

Level 4 - technical support engineer

 

When I worked with Victor in Global Tech Support, I was impressed by how quickly he learnt new things, and how much he cares about our product, and our team. He took all the chances to learn new things, and share with colleagues about information he obtained from cases via emails or KB articles. Once we supported an UK case in turns, I was very satisfied with Victor's professional skills on support work and team work as a colleague. As I told Victor several times, I was very glad that I worked with him in the same team!

Victor is my colleague who works from Prague location. His knowledge and expertise is very valuable and the good part is that he has always shared and tried to explain it to me in most relevant, reasonable and lucid manner. He understands the products and end user requirement from beginning to end because of his past experience as System Integrator. His contribution always has been very important for the team and personally has helped me to reduce the time frame to give exact answer and resolution to the customers in Europe...he leaves office when I come to office and that means we can resolve the and continue working on an "Ongoing problem" for a longer period in a day. So collaboration and complimenting each other is the way to sum it up.

While Victor I believe has many strengths I believe the most notable to his advocacy for his customer. He strives to get his customers the best answer with as much information as possible. If he feels that the resolution is incorrect or incomplete he will challenge the results. However in doing so I can say his verbiage is factual and respectful. Victor also appears to put in the effort for his customers before escalating any of his cases as they usually contain enough data to be able to assist without having to return to his customers to retrieve what I would call basic facts. I believe Victor has a lot of skills which many of his colleagues could benefit from.

The cooperation with Victor works well. He is quite flexible and answers fast. If there are some unique or complex problems, he puts a lot of efforts in tests and simulations to find the best solution. He is very reliable.
